Reference Availability

Availability
Reference services are available to:

  • Faculty, students, and staff of the University of Baltimore
  • The Baltimore legal community
  • The general public

Services Provided
Reference librarians can provide assistance with:

  • Identifying sources of information
  • Locating specific documents or resources

Services Not Provided
Reference librarians will NOT:

  • Conduct actual research on behalf of patrons
  • Provide legal advice or interpretation
  • Provide appraisals or evaluations of books, documents, or artifacts
  • Assist with personal technological devices or non-library software

On-site Assistance
Limited on-site reference assistance may be available during regular library hours. Please call in advance or email us to set up an appointment for in-person, on-site assistance.

Other Policies

  • Users must comply with all library policies, including the proper handling of materials.
  • Assistance may be subject to available staffing and may be limited during peak times.
  • Reference materials must remain in the library and may not be checked out.
