    DoD PDF that was designed to answer your questions in the order in which they are most likely to arise. It is intended as a quick reference for you and your loved ones during rehabilitation to reintegration. This version will link you to all of the resource sites you will need, it will answer most of your immediate questions and lead you to the right places to answer the rest

  • DFAS - Wounded Warrior Pay
    From the moment you leave the combat zone, our Wounded Warrior Pay Management teams are at work to make sure your pay and other entitlements don't become things that you or your family have to worry about. With your service's finance offices, we will be with you through medical treatment and rehabilitation until you've returned to active duty or left military service.
  • Expediting Social Security Disability Benefits for Wounded Warriors
    Military service members can receive expedited processing of disability claims from Social Security. Benefits available through Social Security are different than those from the Department of Veterans Affairs and require a separate application. The expedited process is used for military service members who become disabled while on active military service on or after October 1, 2001, regardless of where the disability occurs.
