Animal Law Resource Center logo The case law section of the Animal Law Resource Center is intended to serve as a resource to identify current case law in your jurisdiction and around the country. Case law is an important component of animal law because it provides insight into how judges interpret laws regarding animals, interpretations that differ widely from state-to-state and have evolved over the years. Case briefs are arranged alphabetically by the state of jurisdiction, or can be found through a convenient search by categories, case name, or keywords.

Animal Legal & Historical Center provides a comprehensive repository of information about animal law, including more than 1200 full text cases (US, historical, and UK). You can search by topic and by legal material type.

Westlaw's Multistate Animal Law Cases database (MAML-CS) contains animal law-related decisions from the state courts of all fifty states and the local courts of the District of Columbia, and may be searched just as you would search any other database in Westlaw.
