Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP)
The University of Baltimore Law Library serves as a selective depository library under the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP), established by the Congress in 1813. The goal of the FDLP is to ensure that the public has access to information created by its government, and FDLP depository libraries collect, maintain, preserve and assist users in accessing that information.
UBLL is one of the 62 selective depository libraries in Maryland, Delaware, and D.C. that fall under the Regional Depository Library at the University of Maryland College Park.
A U.S. government document is simply any publication (print or electronic) produced by a U.S. governmental agency.
